Though Sarcomas are rare, you are not alone in your battle against the disease. The Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation provides news, resources, and a way to connect to others with the disease. Since our inception in 2001, Rein In Sarcoma has had the opportunity to serve many individuals who, like you, have waged a personal war against this disease.

RIS Mini-Medical School: "Finding Cures for Sarcoma Cancers"

Dr Jamie ModianoRIS Mini-Medical School Dean, Katheryn Dusenbery is pleased to announce that our fifth annual RIS Mini-Medical school that will highlight the very promising sarcoma research being conducted by the U of MN College of Veterinary Medicine under the leadership of Dr. Jaime Modiano. 2014 RIS Mini Medical School: “Going to the Dogs” – Finding Cures for Sarcomas through Canine Research will be held Saturday, April 12th 8:00 am to noon and presented in collaboration with University of MN School of Veterinary Medicine at the very new U of MN Cancer & Cardiovascular Research Building. Board Member Profile: Maren Hilton

Maren HiltonMaren Hilton, MD has been giving her time and talents to the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation for over 8 years. For most of that time, Maren was an active Board Member, holding the responsibilities of the Secretary.

RIS Welcomes Our First Executive Director- Kate Bottiger

Kate BottigerOn behalf of the Rein in Sarcoma Foundation Board of Directors, the Selection Committee and Transition Team is pleased to introduce and welcome Kate Bottiger to Rein in Sarcoma as our first Executive Director. 

Kate is an established leader and visionary with excellent non-profit experience working with Boards of Directors and Volunteers. Her professional background includes successfully leading areas of growth within program services, public advocacy, and volunteer management. "Riding with a Purpose" - The Muds Dog Ride Again in February!

MUd Dogs RideThe 2014 annual Mud Dog Ride for RIS will coincide with the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association 32nd annual Winter Rendezvous, February 6-9 at the Shooting Star Casino Hotel & Event Center in Mahnomen, MN in memory of snowmobile rider, Eric SkogmanThis year an anonymous donor is issuing a $1,500 Mud Dog Challenge Grant!  This donor has committed to match all new 2014 Mud Dog paid pledges  through Saturday, February 9th or when the challenge is met.
